Holy Hell
March 30th, 2007
As I sit here watching Blood Diamond, I am reminded of an indisputable truth. That being that Leonardo DiCaprio is HOTT. Why do I keep forgetting that? I guess that makes me a very shallow person, to be thinking like that while watching such a serious movie, but what can you do? So far the movie is great. Hard to watch, but very good.
You know what movie was not so good? Children of Men. We watched it last night, and we had both been looking forward to it for a long time but it was depressing for one thing and just didn’t hook me at all. Clive was fantastic looking, as always, but the movie just didn’t do anything for me.
OK, back to Leo…..

I love Diamond DiCaprio.
hmmm hi :)I’ve been thinking about getting a ‘right hand ring’ (you really have to love how friggin well the diamond industry markets itself) but…then I remember everything Blood Diamond taught us (even though I haven’t watched it!)Jason really loved children of men. I would say I was not as sold. I didn’t dislike it, but I was hoping for more. He loved how a lot of the filming was done without editing (one long fighting scene at end in one camera take) but…I’m not as hot about that stuff. The story fell a little flat for me at the end.
Did you see the Departed? We’re watching Casino Royale & The Holiday this weekend.Hmmm, I am sensing a theme here among us new parents. Can’t go out?? Rent movies!
So, does that mean that you think Leo’s hotter than Clive? I think not!Last movie I rented was Talladega Nights. Will Ferrell just cracks me up. If I didn’t have children right now, I would be the first person in line to see Blades of Glory!
Yeah, I bet you hated the scene where he changed his shirt…just disgusting! Okay, so I thought Blood Diamond was amazing, totally moving. Yes, I recommend The Departed too, although it is a bit graphic. I concur with your taste…carry on.
Children of Men didn’t do it for us either. we have Blood Diamond for tonight, so good to know i’m not renting yet another shitty movie. speaking of that, do not ever rent Harsh Times. you’ll walk by and think it’s good because it has Christian Bale in it, and he’s been great in everything (and also, HOTT)– but then you watch it and it sucks so bad, and he is so awful and ridiculous, that you actually get MAD about it.
