1987 Called. It Wants Its Pants Back
A couple weeks ago, I was out shopping at my favorite place on this earth, Nordstrom. And on the sale rack I found a great pair of khaki pants. I needed to replace the ones I have been wearing all spring because they are flat out too big for me and I spend all my time hitching them up when I wear them. Don’t congratulate me, they are house-sized pants I bought after Bridget was born. You can congratulate me when my pre-pregnancy stuff is too big on me.
Anyway, the pants fit great, are a good versatile design that can be a bit dressy or casual. They are cropped, which is perfect because any pants that fit my big ol’ hips will be too long on me unless they are cropped or the elusive “short” length.
The funny thing, the thing that made me feel these pants are worthy of a blog post? They are made by Esprit. Seriously, I haven’t seen Esprit clothes for sale since I was in junior high.
I wonder if they still make those striped leggings and big sweater with the polka dots on it? Karin, you know what I’m talking about here.

This is too funny! I saw a friend from high school last week for the first time in years and we when we started talking about the Esprit line of clothes with the dinosaur blocks, she made me call her mother! It was hilarious.
And I’ll congratulate you for meeting a milestone along the way to your pre-pregnancy goal. I hope that’s allowed.
i do remember Esprit, but more in my era was Body Glove. the hand logo, the neon colors… oh god. i’m going to go put my hair in a ponytail on the side of my head and feather my bangs.
Oh man! I had completely forgotten about them. So, did you buy them? And are you totally rockin’ them?
I know that outfit!!!!! I remember my BFF’s white Espirit sweatshirt with each letter a different color. I coveted that sweatshirt.
Please tell me you had the Esprit book bag. I think you may need to also invest in a pair of http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/24090455/c/34990.html these to go with them.

Dang it…I got beat to the punch with the bookbag thing. Totally had one. My favorite outfit were black spandex with a hot pink mini skirt attached to it…that matched my hot pink Esprit bookbag. I am baffled that this company still exists. I haven’t seen anything made by them since junior high. Way to score their last khaki’s ever.
Oh God - do I know what you’re talking about! And it’s late and I am literally laughing out loud here. Where the heck is my TV heads dress??
