We lived with that snot for over 3 weeks. In fact, we're at 5+ weeks and Peanut still coughs every morning when she wakes up from the drainage. Ugh. I learned to use a hankie (or old burp cloth or something soft) to wipe her nose b/c after just 2 days of nose wiping, she had a bloody raw spot on her nose that was horrid. I also would smear the outside of her nose with vaseline as often as I could. It's gross but it keeps the skin from getting so chafed. I walked around with a hankie in my pocket for weeks and I think I did laundry every other day b/c her sheets were always smeared with snot. & I mean great rivers of snot. The volume is astonishing, isn't it? As for the booger sucker, I chose the times I needed it selectively b/c oh god. I think I'd rather wrestle an alligator naked than deal with that damn thing!
