Grandma Pat

February 11th, 2008

Jake’s grandmother passed away in the wee hours this morning. At home, not hooked up to life sustaining machines, with two loving care-givers. In short, she went on her terms. Or as much on her terms as was possible. She will be missed more than I have the words to express.

I’m so sorry to hear that, Donna. Please pass along my sympathies to Jake. She looked like a true lady, in the most meaningful sense of the word “lady.”

I’ll keep you both in my thoughts.

I am so sorry and wish I had something to say that would make the hurt not so bad. What a blessing though to be able to be at home and not in a hospital.
