I said that we keep our litter box in the laundry room off the finished basement, two rooms which need to have the doors shirt for fear of toddler death. And I hated reglar cat doors; I thought they all looked tacky. So we got these:

They look like the little mouseholes on cartoons! And are made of wood so they don't look bad and look like part of the door. They're small but big enough to let my 22 pound Maine Coon through just fine.

Just a thought! So your poor kitty can't get locked out of the room and kids, dogs, etc., can't get in!
