It was like his old stuff again. Try it. PS - I could live at Half Price Books. Unfortunately we don't have one here. I like SK, too, but mostly the older stuff. IT terrifies me STILL. I cannot for the life of me step over a damn sewer grate without a shiver! I love his story-telling...I don't care for the out & out horror as much as the long & winding tales. When I read that, I was still bringing Freya to work with me, and I'd take her downstairs to the Warehouse a couple of times a day to walk her around in the sling until she'd fall asleep. I would cast my eye over the stacks and stacks of firefighting stuff, and be doing a mental packing list of what to come grab if ever something like "Cell" should occur. It still gives me a shiver. You didn’t post anything about “Lisey’s Story.” What did you think? Personally, I loathed it. Thought it was completely awful, and a near re-hash of “Rose Madder.” (Which wasn’t very good either, but was somewhat better than “LS”.)

I'm partial to Pet Cemetery but my husband loves "It" as well! I have Harry Potter on my to-read pile now going on over two years! This summer, I am determined to get into them! My ten-year old just finished the first one and is anxious to read the rest... I also love Stephen King books (as well as other in that same sort of genre, like Dean Koontz) and I have never been so scared in my life after reading many of his books!
