tired. busy. bummed.

July 14th, 2008

I wish I had something witty to write about. But I don’t. My life is occupied with stupid, annoying tasks like calling roofers and body shops and going to the dentist. Oh and dealing with getting our wills prepared.

Since we are about to go away together, we decided that it was high time we get our wills prepared just in case. It really sucks to have to think long and hard about what you want to happen to your child in the event she loses both her parents at the same time. I should not be allowed to think about these things, especially when Jake is not here to distract me because now I’m getting more nervous than ever about leaving Bridget while we go to Mexico.

Hopefully I’ll have more fun things to talk about tomorrow.

We just did our wills a few weeks ago too.

    Seriously depressing. But necessary.

You’ll have a great time in Mexico. And you’ll have the peace of mind of knowing that all that legal mumbo-jumno is taken care of for years to come.

Body shop? That doesn’t sound fun.

Wills are tough, but necessary. We didn’t get around to doing ours until our boy was almost 6! But at least it’s done; I guess we’re supposed to keep looking at them every so often, but depressing!

    Mexico, wow,that’ll be fun!

Yeah for getting your wills done!!! I was a paralegal in an estate planning office so it’s a huge soapbox of mine. Depressing yes, but if you love your kid, you must get it done!

Wow - yeah. It’s a big hard step but ultimately it’ll be nice to have the peace that things are squared away as your would want them.

Everyone’s life is full of minutiae - that’s just how it goes. That’s what makes all the other stuff more special & more fun. :)
