No One Cares

May 10th, 2006

OK, is anyone else as sick to death of David Blaine as I am? Does anyone really think his “stunts” are interesting and amazing and worthy of television coverage? I think he’s an idiot, and the things he attempts neither amaze or impress me. I just find them to be idiotic. This last one apparently almost killed him, as one might expect trying to hold one’s breath under water for nine minutes. And what does asshat have to say afterwards? He wants to try it again. I say go for it. I’ve never been one to think we should stop idiots trying to commit suicide. It’s all about cleaning out the gene pool.

Funny, I had never heard of him until the other night. We watched a bit of the show, but I didn’t see the whole thing. I actually thought he was kind of nice. But it is kind of stupid, if you ask me- I’m not into the whole thrill seeker thing- I just don’t get it.

All I can say is I got sucked into watching it cause my stepdaughter plopped down and thought it would be cool to watch. Ugh! And for this I missed “24″! It was not my choice to watch but I had to be nice… What a waste of time!

Eh, it doesnt bother me. If thats what makes him happy in life more power to him. I am sure he has probably said before that he wouldnt mind dying trying to do one of his tricks. Suicide…idiots..sorry that one hit me kinda heavy but I guess these are his goals in life? Hey my SIL has lived in a tree for the last 10 years. It was hard to except but you know she is happy and thats all that really matters. Should the media keep going on and on about him? No..he failed plain and simple. He didnt do the stunt he didnt complete the world record so move on davey and get the next one started.

I used to really dig him - I liked the “street magic” specials and thought he had a cool vibe. Now? I just think he’s kind of weird. But that’s fine - if people keep watching, ABC will keep paying him to do weird stuff. Not that many people watched this time so maybe this’ll be it for a while.

I totally agree with you! I think he is very creepy and refused to watch the show the other night. I hate to say it, but I am glad he did not break the record as stupid as it is anyways.

What bugs me the most is when reporters talking about him doing “magic”. It’s not magic! It’s tomfoolery!

I, for one, was hoping for a public drowning. And he should try again–but emergency services need to be withheld.
